I had heard so many good reviews on the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion that I decided to give it a go. I'd never really suffered with problem skin until recently and seeing as though it seemed to work for everyone else, I bought it in the hope it would work for me too.

It is a spot treatment which you apply on breakouts and blemish and leave on overnight and it dries them up and makes them almost disappear, without irritating the skin surrounding it. It is made up of calamine and salicylic acid and is suitable for all skin types, even those of us, like myself, who have the most sensitive of skin.

All you have to do is dip a cotton bud right into the pink solution at the bottom, and apply it to the skin and leave on overnight, then wash off in the morning. It clearly states on the bottle not to shake, but if you do just to leave it to settle again overnight before using. At a guess I would say that the clear liquid at the top is there to stop the product from drying up in the bottle, but if shaken it would mix together and dilute the pink solution.

After a few uses, I could definitely see my skin was clearing up although I have a lot of scarring from previous blemishes so although it is not completely clear as it used to be, that was expected. For this reason, I haven't posted a before and after photo as to most other people it doesn't look much different and it is unclear on a photo whether it is a scar or existing spot. The current spots which were the problem were gone.

A 29ml bottle costs £15 which does look very expensive for the size of it but it is definitely worth investing in because it really does the trick. A little also goes a long way so you won't be using it up any time soon. I bought mine months ago and even after using it most nights since then, I still have some product left.

If you're considering purchasing drying lotion, I would definitely recommend you to do so. There are so many other good reviews on it which you can read online which show how well it really does work. I'm so glad I bought this because it has definitely changed my skin for the better, and I honestly don't know what I did before I came across this!
