If you're reading this, then you probably know who Louise Pentland is. If you don't, she runs a beauty, fashion and lifestyle based YouTube channel called Sprinkle Of Glitter. She started her stage show in 2014 and has been doing it ever since. Although I've never seen the show live, one of them was recorded and released on DVD.

Despite the fact that Louise is known for a being a YouTuber, Louise Live isn't entirely YouTube related. She does share stories about being an internet sensation, but it is very much comedy based with aspects of motherhood and body confidence which Louise continuously promotes.

I LOVE IT.

Having watched Louise for years on YouTube, you get a good idea of someone's personality, or at least what they want you to see, but she is just so funny! I do wish I had the opportunity or do in the future to go see her live, because I enjoyed the DVD so much.

I've watched it over and over again so many time, and I can just imagine that the atmosphere there must be so amazing! If you haven't seen it, I would recommend you at least get the DVD and give it a watch.

Metabolism is the process of your body converting what you eat and drink into energy, the calories you consume are combined with oxygen to release the required energy in order for your body to function. Your body needs energy for everything, even when resting, to grow and repair cells, circulate blood, breathe and to control hormone levels.

The number of calories your body uses whilst carrying out these functions depends on your sex, age, and body size. Men usually have less body fat or more muscle than women, as do younger people, so burn more calories.

Getting plenty of sleep and exercising regularly are the best things you can do to boost your metabolism, and help you lose weight.

I'm not saying doing those things will instantly make you lose pounds, but by doing so, your body will be burning more calories and storing less as fat.

There are also many foods which can boost your metabolism: Apples, Broccoli, Carrots, Eggs, Oats and Spinach to name a few, and there as so many more which you can find by just doing a little bit of research.

You may already have many of them in your diet, or you may easily be able to add some of them. With a little bit of determination you can boost your metabolism and give yourself a helping hand, whether you're trying to lose weight or gain muscle.

If you don't already know, the Global Goals are 17 goals for sustainable development which were agreed to by 193 world leaders in September of last year. Meeting these goals could end poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030.

The Global Goals will only work if we fight for them, and to do that, everyone has to know what they are so the aim is to make them famous. Everyone needs to know about the Global Goals. Leaders all over the world have agreed to them, but we need to make sure they actually happen.

Here is an insight into what each of the Global Goals are and the outcomes we are trying to achieve by 2030 -

1) No Poverty - By 2030 extreme poverty will be eradicated from all people everywhere.

2) Zero Hunger - By 2025, reduce by 40% the number of children under 5 who are stunted.

3) Good Health & Wellbeing - By 2030, reduce the global maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per 100,000 live births, end preventable deaths of children under 5 and end the epidemic of malaria.

4) Quality Education - By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education.

5) Gender Equality - By 2030, eliminate all harmful practices including child, early and force marriages, female genital mutilation and ensure women's full and effective participation at all levels of decision making.

6) Clean Water & Sanitation - By 2030, achieve universal access to safe and affordable drinking water and adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all.

7) Affordable & Clean Energy - By 2030, ensure universal access to affordable, reliable and modern energy services and increase the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.

8) Decent Work & Economic Growth - By 2025, end child labour in all its forms.

9) Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure - By 2030, deploy clean technologies and make industries sustainable.

10) Reduced Inequalities - Work In Progress.

11) Sustainable Cities & Communities - By 2030, all people will have access to adequate, safe and affordable housing.

12) Responsible Consumption & Production - By 2030, all countries will agree on environmentally  sound framework for the management of chemicals.

13) Climate Action - By 2030, all countries will have improved their resilience and adaptive capacity to natural disasters.

14) Life Below Water - By 2020, prevent any further losses to marine biodiversity.

15) Life On Land - By 2020, ensure the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of forests and conservation of mountain ecosystems, including their biodiversity.

16) Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions - By 2030, reduce all forms of violence and death rates everywhere and end abuse, exploitation and trafficking.

17) Partnerships For The Goals - By 2030, everyone will have access to the internet.


I have found all of the information above from the Global Goals website, which you will find here, to learn more about them. I felt it was necessary to word the Goals and the outcomes exactly as they are on the site because there is no other way of putting it, to stress how important these things are for us and for our futures.

There are so many tips and tricks out that will change the way you apply your makeup, some of them you would never have even thought of yourself but once you've tried them, you can't understand how you never knew about them sooner!

Here are a few of my favourite tips for applying makeup, which have quite literally changed my life!

1) Put your foundation on after doing your eye makeup. This way it is easier to clean and cover up if any mistakes you may make, without ruining your base as well as making it easier to clean up any fallout from eyeshadows.

2) If you struggle to find a foundation light enough for your pale skin or have accidentally bought a foundation which is too dark for you, buy a white foundation. Add one pump to your foundation on the back of your hand (a little more if needed) to lighten the colour before applying.

3) Apply lip balm before doing your makeup, most of us do our lips last so by the time you come to this, the lip balm will have had chance to soak in and your lips will be much smoother, making it easier to apply products.

4) Put highlighter on your cupids bow to makeup your lips look much more fuller, plumper and more defined.

5) Make your eyeliner last all day by 'setting' your liquid or pencil liner with an eyeshadow of the same or very similar colour.

6) Using a highlighting pen to conceal and illuminate your under eyes, instead of your usual concealer will make you appear much more awake.

For many people, finding a makeup brand which does not test on animals is important when choosing products to buy, for others it isn't as important and that is just a personal preference for some people. Although both sides are and will continued to be argued, neither is right or wrong and I'm not going to try convince you one way or another.

What I am going to do is share some research which I have found (mainly from the PETA website) on which makeup brands do not test on animals, for my own and anyone else's future reference! This isn't a complete list, just a select few which I myself use, or I know lots of other people will do too.

We all go through those phases where we long to start exercising and eating healthier, but getting started is the biggest hurdle you will need to overcome. It is easy to lack motivation, especially if you lead a very busy life. You set this image in your head that'll you'll get home from work, go to the gym and have a salad for tea. But more often than not, it doesn't happen and we've all been there.

There are so many ways to make yourself more motivated, and once you start, you will enjoy it so much that you will never want to stop. So here are a few ways that I have found help me become more motivated.
Realistic Goals: We would all love to become a size 6 overnight, but it's not going to happen. Set yourself an easy goal to start with, try losing a few pounds to start with, then make it a bit harder and change it to half a stone, then a stone or a dress size.

Your goals need to be easy enough that you will meet them without facing constant disappointment, but hard enough that they give you the motivation to push yourself without it being too easy. Once you meet one goal, you'll be raring to go and ready to meet your next.

Find the right Inspiration: Most of us look through magazines and online and find a celebrity which we would love to look like. But the truth is, 90% of the time it isn't going to happen. Find someone who has a similar bone structure and frame to you. Aiming to look like a celeb with the smallest hips you've ever seen, when you have a naturally wide frame, isn't going to work.

You will find yourself comparing yourself to them and wondering why your body isn't starting to get like theirs. But if you have wide hips and they don't, no amount of healthy eating and exercise is going to make your hips smaller and there is no point getting your hopes up and ending up being disappointed by something which we can't change.

Go Food Shopping: If you are old enough to be able to pay for your own food, start going out and doing your own little weekly shop. Try a new fruit or vegetable, look up recipes for healthy meals and go out and buy the things you need to make it.

Even if in a few days you change your mind, knowing that you have spent your own hard earned money on it will make you more likely to eat it. Nobody wants to waste their money by not using it and it's easier to waste food which you haven't paid for, trust me! You may even find your new favourite meal.

Buy some gym clothes and equipment: Go out and buy some gym clothes which you feel great it, having them their in front of you will make you feel much more motivated to put them on, exercise and feel good!

If you're up for a hard core work out, buy some fitness DVD's, weights or any other equipment which you can use to work out at home. Put on your clothes and go exercise in the garden, you will feel great in your new clothes and that you have managed to squeeze a workout into your busy day.

Find a Partner: Find someone that wants to work out and improve their fitness too. This may be someone who you go out and actually exercise with, or someone you just talk to about it. You may prefer to exercise on your own, but having someone to discuss it with and share tips with can really help. They may tell you something which they have been doing, which you'd never thought of and it could be a real game changer!

We are all so unique, what works for one person may not work for you, but it may also work very well. You don't know until you try, it's a bit of trial and error. Doing squats might help tone your friends bum, but not yours. But they may know of another great exercise for you to try instead.

Before making this purchase, I had never tried any products from No7 before. For anyone who doesn't already know, No7 is a brand developed by Boots (which is also available in Walgreens for any American readers), which consists of makeup and skincare products amongst other things.

I've been looking for a tinted moisturiser for a while now but was struggling to find one which I actually liked. Others which I have tried previously have either been too orange on my skin, even when using the lightest shade. I have heard plenty of good reviews about No7 products so I decided there was no harm in trying this one.

Everything that it says on the packaging is 100% true, this is the softest, most hydrating moisturiser I have ever used it my life. Not too much so that it would cause problems for those with oily or combination skin, but is also great for those like myself with dry skin - the is just the right balance for all skin types. It also doesn't leave your skin really orange either as some do, instead it just gives you such a natural looking healthy glow.

I also love that it has SPF 15 and 5 star UVA, as this is the sort of product I would wear more in warmer weather. We all know what it's like in the middle of Summer when wearing a full foundation is just too heavy and feel like it's ready to melt of your face! So being able to replace it with this and not having to worry about applying sunscreen is an added bonus.

I bought mine in the shade Fair, when applied it is barely visible on the skin so is definitely perfect for those of us with pale skin. However, it could be quite build able, depending on how much you apply and what with. I believe it is also available in darker shades too.

For anyone who is interested in giving it a try or is just looking for some new suggestions, it costs £12 which I think is fairly reasonable for the quality of the product, and can be purchased from the Boots website or in store.
