This year the world has gone mad for stick foundations, brands have been releasing them left, right and centre, and of course ones which were already available before the 2016 hype have become much more popular, but are they really worth the hype they are getting?

From Anastasia Beverly Hills, Clinique, Make Up Forever and everything in between, there is plenty of brands to choose from if you're on the look out for a foundation stick. The majority of you reading this are probably makeup junkies like myself, so you will more than likely have heard great reviews about the Make Up Forever stick foundation.

In my opinion, this is what started it all off. I hadn't really heard much about them until every blogger and YouTuber was raving about how fantastic it was. Whether it was being used for all over coverage, foundation touch ups or even darker shades for contouring, there wasn't many bad words to be heard about it.

The colour selection from most of the brands which have released foundation sticks so far this year is just out of this world. There really is something for everyone, and if you have the opportunity (and funds) to try one, I would definitely encourage you to do so, I certainly will be doing myself.

Once opened, brow pomades can dry up very quickly. Some quicker than others depending on the brand, how much you use them etc, but they will all eventually do it. But luckily for you, I have two little tips on how to solve it.

1) Just before using your pomade, fill your sink up with hot water, put the lid on your pomade as tightly as you can, and put it into the sink of hot water. Leave it there for a few minutes and then take it out and dry off. The hot water will make the product inside go softer by heating up the packaging, but without ruining the product inside. It is now ready to use again.

2) If you have a makeup antibacterial spray, these are a really good thing to use to add more moisture to your pomade as it has another benefit. (The one I use is The Pro Hygiene Collection Antibacterial Makeup Spray). Spray it directly into the pomade and leave it to soak in. You can do this anytime, whether you are about to use your pomade or not because it will add moisture to your pomade and make it easier to use and will also get rid of any germs and bacteria which may be in your product.

Coconut Oil is traditionally used when cooking, but recently, lots of people have joined the hype of using it as a beauty product - it has more uses than many of the standard beauty products on the market. So grab yourself a big jar and try some of my favourite ways to use it.


Moisturiser
Use as a moisturiser to hydrate the skin, reduce the appea
rance of scars and stretch marks and decrease wrinkles.

Body Scrub
Mix equal parts of coconut oil with either sugar or coffee to make your very own DIY body scrub!

Lip Balm
Apply coconut oil to your lips before bed and wake up with smooth, hydrated lips! Alternatively, mix with sugar to make a quick and easy lip scrub.

Cuticle Oil
Massage coconut oil into the cuticles to help soften and strengthen nails and prevent any splitting.

Hair Treatment
Separate hair into sections and apply coconut oil, focusing on roots and bringing down to the ends. Leave for 20-30 minutes before washing out thoroughly to strengthen hair and leave if feeling soft and shiny!

Makeup Remover
Apply coconut oil onto the skin using a cotton pad and gentle wipe over the face and eye area to remove even the toughest of makeup.

Shaving Cream
Rub coconut oil into the skin before shaving to help prevent cuts or razor burn and leave the skin feeling silky smooth!

There comes a point in our lives where no matter how confident you are in yourself and the things you have done, you compare yourself to someone else. Whether it is the way you look, or the things they have achieved in life, we all do it.

Say someone has gone from being a size 18 to a size 6, but you've only gone from a size 18 to a size 16. The difference is, they've probably been doing it longer, you're only at the beginning of your journey. Don't compare you chapter 1 to someone else's chapter 20.

We are all individual and unique, but we are all capable of achieving amazing things. Something that someone else has achieved may bare no interest to you whatsoever, so there is no point in getting yourself down because you haven't achieved that too. It is irrelevant to you.

Everyone's achievements are both as amazing and important as someone else's, no matter how big or small they may be.

When I was told I could earn money by exercising, I didn't think it was real, it couldn't possibly be! But it is in fact true. By downloading a simple app on your smartphone, you can earn money simply by exercising.

Being someone who finds it difficult to not go shopping and buy new clothes, whether that be in store or online, I thought I would share with you my favourite places to shop. As seasons change and so do fashion trends, I tend to swap and change where I shop.

I don't think there will be very many, if any people who hasn't heard of 'The Walking Dead'. But if you don't, it's an American horror drama show which is based on a comic book series. It's been running for the past 6 years and is set in a post-apocalyptic world and follows the life of the survivors.

That's as much detail I'm going to go into, I don't want to ruin it for anyone who may have not started watching yet or isn't up to date with the recent episodes like myself. I was recommended it by a friend and I'm so glad I decided to watch it!

The show is currently onto it's 7th season, so far I am just starting watching Season 4 and I have been binge watching for almost a week in the hope that I will catch up sometime soon. It's not often I get stuck into a TV programme and this is something so different to what I usually like, but I honestly love it.

So if you're stuck for something to watch and are on the look out for a new series, I would definitely recommend this!
